Body Stress Release (BSR) - Sarah Davies

Body Stress Release (BSR) addresses various pain conditions, from disc issues, back pain, sciatica, muscle tension, to headaches, or systemic conditions such as heartburn, IBS or bowel, bladder or fertility issues. BSR assists with down-regulating the adrenal fight/flight response and as such, those suffering from emotional stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia or fatigue also benefit from BSR. The underlying premise of Body Stress Release (BSR) is to optimise the body’s nervous system – by encouraging the release of tension (“stored body-stress”) which typically disrupts the body’s natural homeostasis. In the consultation the BSR practitioner performs a series of neuro-muscular reflex tests (to ascertain the underlying muscle stress) and then carries out a series of directional impulses which initiate a release in muscle tension and triggers a healing response. It may take a few sessions before there is lasting change (particularly if the body has been subjected to trauma/ operations or wear and tear over the years) but as the deep seated tension starts to release, one gradually starts to experience improved energy, decreased pain, and improvements in mobility and flexibility and general function.

I have had back issues for many years. Have been in hospital, numerous xrays, physiotherapy, acupuncture and been at a chiropractor. Since having BSR on a regular (maintainence) basis for almost 3 years, I have not needed any other treatment, have not been bedridden, and have not lost any sick leave due to back issues – BSR is amazing

I went to see Sarah Davies for BSR because I was struggling with lower back ache and sciatic pain. I was skeptical at first because I have struggled for many years and nothing has helped me long term. But after 4 appointments I am feeling much better – my pain has eased off and I am now more mobile and more aware of my posture. Now that I am feeling better I just pop back in for maintenance sessions. I can definitely recommend Sarah – she used to be at the Milnerton Mediclinic for many years and has now moved to the Deep South permanently.

I first started went to Sarah for BSR after I was in a motorbike accident and could hardly move my left side without extreme pain. After 3 sessions I was walking without crutches and could once again lift my left arm above my head. It’s been 12 years since that accident and am stronger than ever – but I still see her to her every time I get any back pain, headaches, restless legs etc and I still feel the benefits every time. I can highly recommend Sarah and BSR.
